i/o films is a creative-driven video production company started by Hugh Westhoff and Joe Wright.
With a passion for storytelling, we believe that great output starts with thoughtful input.
That’s why we work closely with clients on concept and creative development from the very beginning.
We prioritize quality over quantity, crafting videos that truly resonate.
Joe was thrown into the production world by working for the band Hanson while in college in 2005 and was there until 2014. He transitioned into an Associate Producer role at the fast paced marketing and advertising company Brothers & Co (now Idea Ranch) where he worked on countless projects for brands like Remington, Bushnell, Under Armour, Folds of Honor and more. In 2015 he became a freelance producer where he has worked with just about every production house in Tulsa. Joe is all about relationships and works off those for anything you’d possibly need. If you need a location, he can get one and “He knows a guy” is probably Joe’s MO.
Joe is all things logistics and communication for i/o.
Hugh began making videos when he was 12 years old with a Sony Hi8 cam (classic). At 15, he started immersing himself in video. He quickly became a cinematographer, working mainly on doc style films. After high school, Hugh went to film school to hone in the craft of shooting and storytelling. With an eye for directing from the start, in 2019 he began writing and directing. From then on, Hugh would toss out absolute bangers like the passion project titled Invictus, VO’d by Hugh’s Father, Craig (James Earl Jone’s 2nd cousin…twice removed). Hugh has an incredibly creative eye and knows the shots he wants to get and story he wants to tell.
Hugh is responsible for all things creative at i/o.
